Last night in Ontario while you slept ...
- Jim and Tanya left their home to go sleep in a parking lot.
- Mackenzie and Brooke were taken to Grandma’s to sleep.
- At 1:30 in the morning Brian drove to work and slept in his car.
- Brad, Sherry and Justin slept on a mattress in their unfinished basement.
- Brenda tried using ear plugs and Jenn tried sleeping pills.
- Stephen left his home to sleep in a trailer.
- Derek slept in the hallway away from the walls.
- Many didn’t sleep at all – not by choice or lifestyle but by relentless noise coming from wind turbines.
- Jordan has to go to school today. His teacher wonders why his grades are slipping.
People living with wind turbines are getting sick. They try to find ways to cope. Some have no choice but to leave their home.
The wind industry is very powerful. The lobbyists are relentless. The wind industry needs government cooperation to install large-scale wind turbine projects. The government needs the cooperation of large media corporations and big environmental groups to cheer for wind energy. Wind energy is being deployed by large corporations. Government has funded some of these corporations and have an interest in it. Some of these big corporations are multi-national fossil fuel companies. The government has facilitation offices and staff for wind deployment. The government does not have one office, agency or ministry that will meet the people who are sick.
Wind turbines are 400-600 feet tall. That’s as tall as a 50-storey building. The blades have the span of a jumbo jet. These machines have been placed 550 metres and closer to residents’ homes. Many homes have multiple turbines surrounding them. The machines emit loud cyclical noise. Whoosh ... whoosh ... whoosh .. whoosh ... Imagine someone tapping on your window all night long.
The towers also emit low-frequency and infrasonic noise. This noise may be inaudible but it penetrates walls, it causes vibration in the house. Sometimes you can hear it ... mostly you feel it. This can cause nausea, headaches, ear pressure, heart palpitations, stomachaches, nosebleeds, blood pressure fluctuations and severe sleep deprivation. Sleep deprivation is a form of torture.
The government knows all of this. The government says those complaining don’t like turbines. Even little kis and animals don’t like turbines, I guess. The government says they’re Nimby’s.
Now the government says those complaining are “annoyed”. The government is confusing people and playing with words. Clinical “annoyance” is an adverse health effect that can be very serious. The government knows that the average person thinks “annoyance” is trivial, like a bothersome mosquito. Bothersome mosquitos can be silenced. Wind turbine noise can not.
Past bureaucrats and politicians benefit from and work for the wind industry in the form of reaping subsidies, consulting jobs, board appointments and pension investments – makes it hard to say no to industry advice.
Now you have a bit of information to share – starting to make sense?
